I was thinking more in the context of joint ownership of the club rather than community involvement.

I suppose I'm responding to some posts suggesting DB has undue influence on signings and overriding the coach. I have no idea if that is the case with Leigh, but it would be a conclusion some could draw given the sole owner.

No I haven't blown it away, you never had one, and you also beat the worst team in SL at their ground, who at the time did not have any injuries, which contradicts your clearly weighted with sarcasm remark about Rowley being a mastermind, your obvious delight at Rowley's on/off field problems are your concern not mine, I'm just pointing out your clumsy effort to prove your point against him by fabricating false facts regarding my club. Have any players commented on twitter about Paul Rowley's departure ? Best wishes/sad to see you go...etc. Don't think so....Surely if it wasn't something, how can i put it (dodgy/controversial) surely they would have by now. Or has Derek B told them not too say anything ? the mind boggles !

Only Gaz Hock has said anything. Says he will miss Rowls but the team will move on. He is off with flu though so wouldn't have been at the team meeting after he resigned. Hasn't commented since so I think the message would have got to him after he tweeted it.

I'm with you there Paul - I would prefer joint ownership anytime, although I accept we would then have problems getting anything done, if decisions had to pass through a committee of 2-10 people! Like you say, for and against!



I would be surprised if the owner has overridden the coach on any signings. As I've said, they both seem to have been singing from the same hymnsheet, very recently. The owner, just like the rest of we fans, would probably have been enthusiastic to attract some of our recent high profile signings, and I assume the coach (any coach) would have been equally enthusiastic to work with such players.

When you read the club statement,it seems to me that they were hoping that Paul could work thru whatever the problem is,but he feels he cant do both.Paul states it is with a heavy heart he comes to this decision,so that tells me has really hoped he could.I feel the problem is personal to Paul,so we must respect his privacy and when he feels its right to say what it is then we will all know.Jumping to conclusions does nothing to help Paul or the club or DB. I wish Paul all the very best,and thank him for the great entertainment this club has given us.

Due to the actual reason it is unlikely Paul will speak publicly. There is no need for it to come out as the family wants to move on and put it behind them. Let's move on from this and look forward to the future of the club and leave the Rowley family in peace.

Folk can't "hold their water" so to speak....I have been told of the actual reason 4 times now, gossip I know. BUT until I get told otherwise (officially) , I doubt it's just a Rowley/Beaumont fall out.
