Don't get me wrong - he will have stumped up cash - just like he did at Fax. But, his spouting of long term commitments is just that: spouting. Russell Brand is better at long term relationships than Feisel. Anyhoo, whatever the sums and intentions,it's still great that Championship clubs seem to be in better stewardship than some SL clubs.

Wouldn't it be great if this (and others) came off at the expense of SL! Nigel working his fat arris off for Salford - seems that they get all the help that they certainly don't deserve. They haven't sold one season ticket yet they still hold a licence!

What does me is that sl clubs, wakey, bradford, salford, london have gone ar se upperds and damn near gone out of business, yet the rfl bend over backwards time n again to ensure their continuity in the league.

Crusaders indeed went down the garry glitter yet sl most certainly would have renewed their licence.

Yet, faxs' financial plan had flaws ffs!!!!

Cc clubs have to jump thru flamin hoops to justify an application whereas established licencees can pi ss up a rope and still another licence.

Which is why, despite my outward bittermess (jealousy?) to the potential Fev windfall, i would still smile warmly if it did come off - and to see the reaction of SL fans. We (Fev, Leigh and Fax) are never going to be as big as the Wig4ns and Saints of this world but we shouldn't feel inferior to clubs like Wakefield, Cas, London and the other non-super clubs in Super league. They are there by virtue of lucky timing in most cases. Not even sure i'd want to go back in to be honest. Would be great to play top clubs but not sure i could stomach the constant wooden spoons that Widnes will be picking up over the next few years.
