As far as I can see Keith Freer has done a good job, he's kept us afloat, he's told us what the business model is and strikes me as a decent person, he certainly doesn't deserve the comments made about him in the opening post.

The reality is that whoever runs our club, they can't satisfy everyone, they will get some decisions wrong, and god forbid they try to run the club on a commercial basis, which is how it has to be run.

I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but I am sure that whatever decisions are being made, they are being made in the interest of the club not indivduals, and generally they are being made by people in full possession of the facts, its probably wiser at this juncture to wait for the club to make an announcement, after all we could all be looking for a problem that doesn't exist and it really could be as simple as a cash flow issue.

I do believe that we will come through this and that we will find something new to moan/worry about in the next few weeks/months.

Its difficult to see how the club is better now than at any other time.

Take lisa for instance,Iv'e always thought that Lisa was set up to enhance the club by sponsoring players now it seem the organisation is just propping up a failed club,i can only assume the TDC are doing the same thing.

Plus the club cant even afford a full squad of players

Sorry Keith but how did the RFL bail us out. As i understand it they simple used the monies we were due last season to pay the HMRC on our behalf and we received nowt or very little for last season. So they dis a reasonable job in getting thwbteam to second in the table.

I wasn't having a dig either Keith. Before Arthur came in I am pretty sure the cash at bank was an overrdraft of a quarter of a million. I am sure we are at our current limit with the bank but isn't that around 80-100k which KF and PC have guaranteed.



I am a little fed up of some of the untruths appearing on here and being bandied around the town. Even today two contradictory statements appeared one after the other, both apparently from good sources.



I am sure you agree we should be trying to save the club rather than destroy it. If we are on the wrong side of the line at The end of 2014 (ie in Champ 1) then we might as well give up. With what is possibly happening we need to be in the top 10 of the Championship at The end of 2014. Should be straightforward as long as they get sorted soon and we avoid administration.

Is it 50k or 200k if its the latter we should just go into admin and start again in chap1 with no historic money problems

We luvved up just before SL and it took us 4 years to stop the rot and cost us over a million in sky money, we cannot do that again as we won't recover and die like Oldham

As for our attempt ion SL did I not warn it would rip the heart out of the club? we should have took the money and run with a very young squad, but Hi Ho hindsights is a great gift.

As for going into Administration I would guess that most of the debt is owed to local people/companies like myself who have lost money to Leigh RFC in the past, well some of us cant afford to keep losing money the result will be that the club cant get local people to service the club so not only do they lose local trust they lose local support.

Debtors like yourself Fred should be the absolute priority to pay no matter which way things go. The work you do is instrumental in selling the club to the public and will be even more so in the future.



Whoever takes operational control of the buisness day to day going forward needs to be making two immediate priorities IMO first target the RFL seeking clarity were posible on the league format changes and get an indicator on feelings towards a new start under new people. No punches should be pulled in these conversations and reminders of just how the franchise system has not worked and how they have bailed out Bradford, London etc down the years should be made. Secondly to LSV time to get tough with them, i.e we will no longer Honour the existing agreements and need to renegotiate without any further delay. If the fans are only going to come out in numbers less than 2k then let's take the stadium on a similar basis to Swinton and other than match days relocate completley?



I await the you can't do this and can't do that mob but I don't accept that mentality in buisness the people that do do and if they don't they will at least get the firm answers they need to make an acurate judgement on the future.

A companies liabilities can't simply just be gauged by its over draught unfortunately.
