Remember after the last franchise descision. Widnes kept quiet and got about being RFL bitc*es, we had Allan Rowley complaining in the press to anyone who would listen how unfair it all was. Look where they will be in 2012 and look where we will be. Lessons must be learned, not least by Mr Rowley (if he still has a job when the consortium take over).

Well as Allan has worked long tireless hours all this week getting together the 'new consortium' I for one am glad he's been here he was the driving force behind Arthur Thomas being chairman, he's not taken a penny in wages from Leigh Centurions in all the time he's been Ch exec why shouldn't he not have a job - a job he's reluctantly done and as a favour to AT.

Hear, hear Fred. I personally thought Allan was well in order with his comments. If I had won the Euro Millions I would have had someone who lived and breathed Leigh to run then club and Alan would have been right up there for the job.

I disagree. It has been well documented over the years how he has drove away potential and existing sponsers from the club because of his attitude. I will never forget the night in the old Hilton lounge when he shouted down a very lucrative sponser of the club because he had cause to complain about how the team were nilled at home to Widnes in front of the Sky cameras.

And where was that same sponsor all the other times we have played Widnes over the last 6 seasons ?
