I won't believe anything at all from either club or Jake himself until I see a contract with his signature on! Yesterday the Hull fanzine posted interviews with Jake saying how he was going to be focused on hull next year!
What a farce.

Yeah, I saw this too... Also, Jake announced on his twitter that he is joining Hull... So until it's confirmed, then you can't really believe anything... This issue is with who ever announced it first... Not sure if it was Hull FC or the Hull Daily Mail. But, until it's a done deal, then nothing should be announced from clubs. |

Totally agree. You would think that the player himself ( who is the only one who truly knows where he wants to play ) would go on the Giants official site and tell the fans what he is going to do. |

I've honestly never understood why people get offended by players wanting higher salaries.... It's such a short career that could be ended in a split second. You need to make as much money as possible before you retire for yourself and your family.
This is rugby not football. When players retire they have to go into work, usually with little or no qualifications. So, what do they do? They have to become manual workers, after years of abuse to their bodies.
As long as they give everything they can on the field for the club their playing for, then they should be paid what they deserve. |
