| Quote Sarge="Sarge"From a Cas fan - Brough is a brilliant player when his forwards are on top. It gives him room to manouver and his kicking is second to none. Therein lies the problem, your forwards are not playing well. They are being out enthused, look like they have no real energy and are not making the hard yards. Overall they are not bullying the opposition as they have done previously. Brough more than most half backs needs to be playing behind a strong, dominant pack. If not, his petulant side comes to the fore as it did last night. Sort your forwards out and Brough will come good again.'"
This is spot on.

| To me Craig Kopczak was a perfect example last night of the problems that Huddersfield face. I haven't seen such a weak performance from a prop for ages, ambled the ball in and ran with no aggression. If you compare the effort from him to Crabtree you can see massive difference. As a Wakey fan I am a massive fan of Brough as a player. His attitude sucks though but I think it's more about the efforts of some of those around him. Huddersfield need to look at last season like it never happened as at this point it is doing more damage than good.

| That's been Kopczak in most games this season, Crabtree has been far from great too but did seem a bit more interested yesterday.

| Quote theblondebomber="theblondebomber"I think teams are taking Hudds more seriously after last season. Gone are the days where you play Hudds and you are guaranteed 2 points.
Also Brough is a good player. @ saints last season we were crying out for a 6/7 and if we would of signed Brough I would of been happy.
Your form will pick up over the course of the season. [uYou deserved the win in the CC[/u'"
I’m sorry but I can’t agree, they had it done and dusted but threw it all away. Brough is an excellent fair-weather player, but his big failing is he is a bit of a dummy spitter I’m afraid.

| Brough creates more chances than most in his position, yes he can get a bit heated, but this is mainly due to his desire for his team to play well, and at the moment, you only have about 3 players turning out for you.
You will come good again, but each time you turn out against a team they are playing you like a top 5 side, not a top 10. You need one win, a convincing one, and from that your luck will change.
You have a great side with a lot of great young players, and unfortunately a lot of your senior players are still reeling from last week.

| Dropping brough would be daft! He is a quality player who wears his heart on his sleeve! He is struggling to hide his emotions but a more concerted effort from him to use his frustrations constructively 'making the opposition pay with his skills' rather than Gobbing off is fair but to drop him would IMO just make it worse

| Danny Brough is a heart-on-sleeve type of player. He can be unpredictable, which is very often what gives him an edge. The other side of that coin is that sometimes it can make him a bit of a liability. That's what he offers and you're not going to change him. From an outsider perspective I find him hard to like and easy to admire (I talk on-field personas here, I have no idea what he's like off a rugby pitch). He brings you far more positives than negatives. That's why he's man of steel. No halfback will play well when their pack's on the back foot. Fix that and you'll probably find that your enigmatic playmaker has less to get frustrated about.
Grix's incident may not have been "unprovoked" in the strictest sense, but it wasn't provoked by anything that a professional RL player shouldn't have been able to brush off. Madness.
He is someone who looks a very good player some days, but seems to look ordinary too often and absolutely awful on enough occasions when I've seen him to be good enough for a team with Huddersfield's standing at the moment, and your realistic ambitions.

i actually thought it was one of koppy's better games this season
he's been very poor so far in my opinion and needs to step it up to the levels he showed last year.

| I think its Grix who has let you down big time.
When I watched you play in the past he has played big parts in you attacking and once the Ellis incident had happened he didn't want to know. Every time he got the ball he couldn't wait to get rid of it.
Brough has always let his emotions and passions get in the way, but the last thing you want to be doing is dropping a player with that passion and will to win. Your not that far off, one decent win and the rest will follow. Probably too late to finish top again but Top 4 still a more then likely reality.
