Well that was the reason given when the fixtures came out as wire and wakey don't usually have fri night home fixtures if not on sky!

So as both us and Wire normally play on a Sunday do we not have a say when the fixture is played considering it was not a SKY match?

They mayve been consulted. Just that was the reasoning behind the match being played Fri rather than sun! No fixtures were originally made for sun till sky chose the Hull kr game and now the postponements!

Well I'm sat on sofa with a large glass of wine and a poorly hubby and the way the match is going at the moment I think I have the best of it - blinds are open and it is a complete white-out, snow is not stopping at all and our cul-de-sac is a no-go. Hope everyone who has gone gets home safely.

Managed to get back, it really must've chucked it down in hudds while match was on, had to walk 20 mins up hill back to flat! Disappointing to concede a fair few in second half and not score ourselves, just one of them games i guess :/ spirits remained quite high though in away end so I still enjoyed it

Anyone know why the M62 was closed going up Windy Hill out of Rochdale?



We came off early and went through Oldham & A62. There was no snow until we almost got to Delph, and then it became a little scary! We followed a couple of ploughs up the hill but they turned round soon after Standedge Cutting.

It wasn't shut long- we stayed for a drink then set off and it was open when we came through.

i got stuck on the m62 for about 20mins but then it got cleared...you must of been one of those queing coming off the junction! luckily was abit behind you.



5 broken down cars i read but only saw 1 on the side, think tehy took them off at the junction

Err, it makes total sense, if teams want to be daft enough to play Sunday, them Friday, and possibly even Thursday if there's a game on sky as there normally is, (Leeds Bradford) then they're going to feel it on the Monday game, and beyond that coaches always say it's the weeks after the easter period when it catches up with the players.
