Ganson thought he had knocked it on. When he went to the VR that is what he asked. It was only on closer viewing that it was a bad PTB by which time the VR has to give the try. A stupid rule but that is the rule. ALTHOUGH i am sure last season a VR ruled no try becuase of an incorrect PTB.

Maybe not but unless rules changed since I played the man playing ball cannot interfere with the marker either? Watch it again and the rovers player plays the ball (incorrectly) but then he grabs hold of Ferguson the Giants defender and prevents him getting a tackle in, no-one picked up on this?
