Unfortunately missed the game but good result.

Good game, Halifax are a decent physical side, we touched it out. Wes's kicking a bot of a worry, but otherwise all good. Barn au is a class act, with the occasional cock up, but he is French so you have to love him......

Thought the boys did a really good job, no panic plays when they went 22-18 down, to be honest I thought they were going to blow it after that interception. On the plus side with the interception they did not give up the chase. Agreed the kicking was a bit disappointing, on the surface we are playing on think ace kicks should be pretty straightforward.

I too thought we were going to throw it away. but I was pleased that we stuck to it.

Must agree that kicking is a concern. Wes is not the kicker he was last year. Not yet anyway.

Too much missed tackling on their big guys, who ran straight through us on several occasions, and bombed at least one try afterwards.

On at least two occasions our middle defence parted like the Red Sea! But we gritted our teeth and came up with the 2pts. Wes kicking is a cause for concern. 3 or 4 missed yesterday, 2 or 3 kickable ones at Leigh - tight games need a cool marksman.

The 2 breaks down the middle for Fax wer concerning, to be honest from the first break dont know how they managed to bomb it! a little bit of while line fever on there part.

I for one was most pleased when after just 20 seconds the Fax try was chalked off because of their forward pass. That wake up call so early in the game helped us although I agree about the Red Sea parting of our defence on at least three occasions. Hope Wes gets finds his kicking boots too.

Do we not have better kickers than Naiqama anyway???



Leatherbarrow certainly is imo & possibly Barthau too?

Barthau did a fine kicking job in the Yowies game. Perhaps Wes has a problem as he wasn't getting the distance yesterday & Leatherbarrow was the kicker at last weeks Town game. Time will tell I guess.
