I swear I want to do a PHD in how abysmal our club is and how problems could be solved. It's not even down to marketing etc, interesting GF, regardless of what was reported, todays crowd was probably the best of the season. Try and explain that.

I don't think your assessment is right; on today's performance it could appear so, but there is a core of the team that are (were?) good players and don't become useless. They didn't operate as a unit today and had only one idea with ball in hand; coaching (in all its facets) would appear to be lacking?!

Can't. If you say there were more than the Wakey game (3,68icon_cool.gif and they reported 2,819 today, either they lied about wakey, counted free tickets allocated for Wakey as part of the MASSIVE marketing campaign or a load of East Hull finest jumped the fence

I agree that the club has been run badly and I agree that DH is the only person to still have much credit at all, but HE WAS RESPONSIBLE for employing pretty much everyone currently at the club. He doesn't sign the players, but he signed the coach who assembled this squad.

Back office is harder to quantify as we don't know what restrictions are in lace on finance, but you have to ask what the point of having a marketing person is if there is no budget.

Which core of the team is still present, that SHOULD be performing? I am struggling to identify our core now.

Whoever is in charge of marketing or whatever etc needs sacking. Simple as that. I could do a better job as a graduate. You could do a better job being other side of the world. The money is there, or has been there perhaps, as everyone claims a cut. Ideas are there, just so badly implemented it is a joke

If you hang onto the ball, kick effectively and make some of the play in the opposition half you ship less tries, don't you? If your always handing the ball over then you expect the opposition to come at you.



TBH it could be argued that conceding 52pts was fortunate, Rovers were knackered from the off given the Derby game on Friday which caused several chances to go begging today...

2,771 average so far this year. Compared to the same teams last year (3,234) we are 463 fans a game down (13%).

Do the club stick with the marketing plan they currently have or do they cut their losses, fire someone and employ a consultancy on a retainer with bonus payments built into the contract? If there's no budget for marketing, why have a marketing person?

The viral and the oyster cards didn't work and facebook was laughable. All of these things are being paid for by David Hughes so why is he happy to let this continue?

Rupe1.....you seem to quietly ignore the fact that without DH we wouldn't be having this conversation. As critical as I am of the club and it's headless chicken approach to most things, I am still happy DH is prepared to throw his hard earned into Quins RL.
