Can't do it either and I was looking forward to coming up having worked out my route. But as one of my boys is in the Cup final with his local U14's RU team I feel I need to support him rather than the Broncos, although funnily enough the same team is (almost) about to be relegated from the league. Sounds familiar couldn't it - a good cup run against lower opposition & then a lousy league season.

Both Championship and Champ 1 sides often play at 2pm on Sundays. The part-time players have jobs to go to the next day!

London fans are not alone, disliking the 2 o'clock kick off.

It was reported positive feedback from supporters swung the decision.

Now I started to delve into the situation and didn't find one supporter who had been asked for their opinion. So fearing some underhand reason I delved deeper and found two alternative possible reasons.

1 Mrs chairman, the lovely Bev, likes to get home and put her feet up before devouring her gastronomic delights.

2 The coach a certain Mr Kear wants to get to London for an appearance on the television and this time suits him.

Both these options seem feasable but I cannot find the definitive answer. Mrs chairman admits the arrangements suit her but denies she instigated the move.

Perhaps one of you could ask our obliging coach what his opinion is then we will all know.

No.2 seems feasible. He's pretty popular with Sky and the BBC.



TBF to London Broncos (and their previous incarnations) we have had fans polls to determine the favoured day/time of our games and Sat 3pm came out on top (and this does suit most supporters that I know, including me).



However, when we have to play on a Sunday (because of Quins or Twickers events) we always change to a Sunday 2pm (lord knows why not 3pm).



Still, can't please everyone, I guess.

I know the Batley floodlights are not brilliant, but......2pm - makes it even more difficult travelling from 'down south'.
