And back to the event..... The team dominated the game for the first twenty minutes spending most of it in the opposition half without showing much penetration, but defensively looking solid. We score first after a twenty-two minute clean sheet but immediately stop thinking, letting in a try to level the scores. Then it starts to unravel allowing three sloppy tries in. 6 - 24 at half time. Second half 20 minutes of Broncos even getting a try. How can a player looked so startled when the ball appears in front of him?



Has anyone seen a referee spending so much time waiting for Sinfield to tell him what to do. Yes it was six to go but Sinfield needs to tell you to decide that?



Half time and we are in the game, we could go on and do something, but the something is basically nothing. And as the clock strikes sixty (think cinderella) the defence turns into a pumpkin and 34 points get conceded. If I'd left after 59 mins I would have said we were not a bad side just lacking something, like confidence, composure and concentration to dominate games, oh and tackling technique when someone breaks the line and we have to improvise. Most teams know how to defend desparately, we don't we tend to go powder puff. Last twenty was embarrasing, very embarrasing.



I'd have to say quite a few players individually had good games just not collectively. Didn't we fall apart at Huddersfield after 60 mins the week before (no difference) and how many other games has it happened, most of them it would seem. Phil Clarke give us the stats.



I'm still attending and will continue to do so, more for the people I meet up with, and the craic , rather than the game itself.



Worryingly Gower was on crutches and might not be around for a week or two.
