Would of been better to open 2 stands but as you say, they have to think about costs. I Wonder how many are going to this. So do all us season ticket holders get a free ticket or is there a limit???

Everyone who wants one will get one, I would imagine around 3,000, proabably just under.

How are people getting down there? Is it possible on train or anything?

Easy on the train via Manchester Piccadilly. Whether it's cheap is another question.

Easily done by train, 1hr 40 mins with one change in manchester. Not too bad to drive there either, but i dont know about parking near Brammal Lane.

Around £18 return

2 trains an hour from Picadilly to Sheffield (Plus another more infrequent one, but that stops everywhere on the way)



A few minutes walk from the station to Bramhall lane, and quite a few pubs around too.

Slightly cheaper getting day return to Manc @ £3.20, then singles Man-Shef and back @ £5 each

I went for the above option of splitting it Wigan to Manchester and Manchester to Sheffield. Booked it when the kick off was originally planned for 3pm rather than 4pm, so I've got a bit of a race back to the station at full time now, but it worked out very cheap booking in advance, and with a 16-25 Railcard too. I think the whole thing came in at less than a tenner, with the match ticket free - bargain, and looking forward to a good day out.
