I think someone should post a link to the article on here (I dont know how),because he makes a comment that if the RL dont protect him he (Wane) will get the Wigan players to do it. Within the rules of course.



The BBC are quoting from an interview that Wane gave to Radio Manchester,

Has the treatment on him been that bad this year? I didnt see the exiles match but besides that I've seen him come in for worse in the past IMO.



Teams have hardly laid a finger on him in recent weeks anyroad and he's tough enough to deal with whatever comes his way.

If anything this will make players from the opposition more likely to try and hurt him in the coming matches.

He's not getting it because he's got even better and is avoiding a lot of it. If you watch there's a lot of swinging arms and stuff coming his way.



If I'm honest though I've seen our guys doing the same to brown, Myler etc. I think we need to sort something where if a big guy throws an arm at a little guy he gets punished properly. I do think Sam gets more than most though but it's only because he is so good and has the ball so much. I think the point is that this guy could be the basis for England actually winning something in the future and if he is injured badly by some pillock that can't beat him within the rules then this could be ended.

I like that Wane has spoken out but the delivery of that comment puts him on the same level as Nathan Brown 2010.



Sam does get some bad treatment but most teams can't lay a finger on him. Most teams have come to accept that he is just the best player in super league, even in a poor game he can do something special, teams are too busy trying to defend against him to rough him up.

Seems a bizarre comment to me. Not really been that bad this season at all, apart from the Whinos trying to house because they knew they couldn't beat us at rugby.



I really wish Wane would keep some things quiet - it's an area he could learn from Madge.

I assume it's in reference to him being panned by Setaimata Sa and the disciplinary deeming "penalty sufficient". So not out the blue as such, just that 99.9% of people wouldn't have seen it as it was in France.
