Hope Cas manage to take a fortune off them but I wouldn't bank on it. If they don't then this has changed the face of our relationship with Union.

Nicky, the R/U clubs and the parent body (England R/U ) could gobble up English Super League players any time they wanted to.

As an example the Fijian players who played England at Twickers last week were on £60.00 per day expenses for the duration of their tour to Europe this Autumn.

The England team that day were on £22,000 thousand each and that has been the fee the England players have been on during the 4 match Autumn series and to follow they have the 6 Nations which means another 5 matches. Which means a total of 180,000 thousand per player.

Sonny Bill Williams did this to the Bulldogs years ago, hardly new.

Edit, Sorry about the double post, I multiplied 9 matches by £20,000 instead of 9 matches by £22,000.

The arrogance of Bath though, Apparently they believe they don't have to pay any sort of transfer fee/compensation. Absolute c*nts!

Saw it somewhere that Cas are taking Solomona to court over it, presumably breech of contract.

Unless Sale underwrite his legal fees then it could prove costly for Solomona.

Even though it is still rugby, unfortunately as we know it is a completely different sport to ours and have completely different governing bodies. If i was a player and retired to take up darts nobody would bat an eyelid and probably wish me all the best of luck but because it is to the other code it is a very annoying thing but unfortunately and unstoppable one. If Solomona announces his retirement from RL there is bugger all Cas can do. This week has been a very bad week for the sport and has set a new bar on how players can get out of contracts.
