Reserve Championship Qualifying Semi-Final

Wigan Warriors Reserves –v- St. Helens Reserves @ Orrell



11.00am kick off.



Winner to Grand Final - Loser to Final Eliminator

That's good.



I'll be able to make it before we fly out to Kardamena the following Thursday.



Down side is I'll probably miss the final assuming it's two weeks later.



If Wigan win they will be able to use their U18 players currently playing in the reserves in the academy qualifying semi at Wakefield the week after.

Is that quite a common practice Rogues to use under 18's in the reserves or is just a Wigan thing.

Wigan always push the better players through.



However this year with injuries (and Hock) at both first team and reserve levels some of the 18's have had to play reserve level.



The reserves are missing Ainscough, Farrell and Howarth with season ending injuries.



Without knowing all the other teams sides I'm not sure if it is common practice but Wigan have done it for many years now, but to be fair it's usually the lads in the second or third year of the U18's who get the chance.



Farrell and Ainscough last year being good examples.

I am looking forward to this one

Why does this game kick off so early in the day.

I'm guessing that Latics play at home on the same day.



They use the same staff for car parking supervision.

Would of been better at night though.

Yep. They're at home to West Ham at 3pm.

They will need all the stewards they can get for that one then
