Right, I'm informed that the club don't want ANY cash turnstiles in future. 2 cash gates were opened at 2.40pm on Monday to alleviate the queues but in future you will be required to buy a west stand ticket from West Stand Ticket Office or East/South Stand Tickets from East Stand ticket Office.

The time given is a lie, but at least they have been honest about the policy which was being discussed in the queue as a possible scenario...

British customer service at it's best again I see. Why make people queue up once when you can make them queue up twice.

All fans who simply turn up on the day should pre purchase a ticket like they do before big games e.g. warrington and st helens

Thus discouraging some waverering fans, sorry customers, from attending at all.



Alternatively, why not make it easier for people to part with their hard-earned?

Exactly, or those that have to travel a distance as i do. I'm normally early, buy from the office, no problem. But they were selling cup tickets yesterday, did they not think this through? The putors will tell them how many people pay "cash" at the office at a normal game. Its not rocket science...



A business making it difficult for people to pay for what they offer... Bizarre...

Why though??. If you do travel and work on a Friday, sometimes it means only getting to the ground with say 10/15mns to spare. Why should we have to go to the trouble of buying a ticket on line with the extra £2 charge, or the cost involved in making 2 trips. This move is very, fan unfriendly and says a lot about just how we are thought of as merely cash cows, or ticket cows.

Truly shocking treatment of the fans, queueing up in the rain, having to give address details, waiting behind people who've lost their season tickets, or want to pay by credit card, or buy challenge cup tickets, or whatever. Disgraceful. Go to any other ground, throw a twenty pound note through an old style turnstile, and you get in in 5 seconds.

How hard can that be?

Well it has to be said that the club failed really I think to make this clear. They just seem to have thrown it at fans. I'll try and point this thread out to them and see if they respond.

This isn't with regards to tonight Man. Utd. match as I can understand them trying to avoid United fans in the Wigan end, but it's getting as bad as the Latics for casual fans wanting to attend. Whelan wonders why crowds are small yet casual fans have to jump through hoops to get a ticket e.g. the well documented case of Roy Keane being refused a ticket despite having been to several matches at the DW previously as a neutral fan.
