A good 6/7 inch in Shevington. Pretty much cancelled everything planned tomorrow!

Not so much here in Liverpool. Was completely clear up until about 8 then about 3 inches fell in the space of about half an hour. Not looking forward to going to work at 8 o clock tomorrow

Nothing like exaggerating..................just measured it in Shevvy, in the oval, no drifting...........4" max.

Looking outside here in Hesketh Bank I'd say we've got 6 inches or so and it's still snowing heavily.

no exaggerating needed its minimum 6-8 inches in Appley Bridge which is 2 miles tops from Shevvy i've just been stood shoveling in it and it was up to my shins and i'm 6ft

down near the DW stadium, we've got a good 3-4 inches if not more. i liked it until i tried to clear my car off after work, was absolutely soaked as the snow was piled up higher than i am tall!

It was ankle deep on me when I just stepped out then. Or up to the wrist when I stuck my hand in the snow that has lingered on the car.

Apparently also they couldn't run the night buses in Wigan last night - taxi waiting would have been fun.



EDIT: No taxis running either I read - that would have been a mare!

All First Manchester buses in town have been suspended.

Haha! Short 4 inches then.



It continued for well over an hour after my post last night so is even deeper now this morning!

Think I'll cancelled all plans for the weekend, nevermind just today!

Wigan area - Services are limited to main roads only, services currently operating: - Service 540 - but unable to serve Castle Hill or Long Lane, using 559 route between Hindley and Westhoughton.

Service 600 - Main roads only

Service 610 - To Carr Lane only



No other services currently operating in the Wigan area.



We will continue to review road conditions and resume services along main roads when it is safe to do so, service 598 currently being reviewed.

In skem and just measured 26 cm worth in the back garden.

I need to travel from Ashton to Hindley leisure centre at 10am.What are my chances of getting there?
