| Wane said on the radio after yesterdays game we have Hansen, Mossop and Gelling available for next weeks game.
Given this is the 3rd game in 8 days i suspect all 3 may feature in the squad for the wakey game.
I think its worth giving Lockers 1 more weeks rest with his ribs.
My team for wakey would be:
Sam
Thornley
Goulding
Hughes
Richards
Green
Smith
Crosby
Micky Mac
Dudson
Faz
H
Tuson
Subs
Mossop
Taylor
Powell
Gelling
I would thus give ben Flower a well earned rest so that he is ready for the bulls game the week after.
Greg burke and tom spencer would make up the 19 but would not feature

| Good to hear if true. I agree Re: Lockers, needs another week off.
Now is the time for Shaun Wane to rotate smartly over the next few weeks. With regards to Charnley's replacement I would seriously consider young Joe Burgess a run out against Wakey. He had a great game for the U19's against Saints and is a tremendous prospect!!

| I'd go:
FB 1 Sam
RW 37 Mandredi
RC 3 Goulding
LC 17 Thornley
LW 5 Richards
SO 6 Green
SH 7 Smith
P 20 Dudson
H 9 McIllorum
P 21 Taylor
SR 4 Hughes
SR 16 Tuson
LF 12 Farrell
S 10 Mossop
S 11 Hansen
S 24 Powell
S 26 Crosby
Give Charnley, Flower and Lockers a rest just to keep everybody fresh, we don't want to burn out later in the season

I'd go with that team but with Hampshire at fullback.

| A pleasant surprise, especially with Mossop. I thought he had a dislocated shoulder which was a 12 week job? Its only been around a month since he was injured.
Anyway, of course they should both come straight back in. Its a very exciting prospect to have Hansen and Farrell teaming up on the fringes.
It must be difficult for Wane to have to tell any of the young forwards they won't be playing. None of Dudson, Flower, Crosby, Burke or Taylor deserve to be dropped. I definitely can't see a spot for Prescott and Lauaki when they get fit.
I don't think any of Tomkins, Charnley, Mcilorum, Flower, Farrell or O'Loughlin should play at the weekend.
One priority in the coming weeks/months has to be the development of a plan B when Tomkins is not available.

| How deep does our squad look with all these guys back? To think we all thought we looked short in pre season and now to pick a 17 from a fully fit squad is tough tough work.
Huge credit to Shaun Wane for this for having the guts to back his judgement on the young players and a massive rap must go to lads like Crosby, Burke, Logan Tomkins etc for stepping up to the plate and taking their opportunity.
Things look rosy at the moment.

I think taking out our first choice 1, 9 & 13 may be a bit much for us to handle. We did something similar against Widnes last year, and came unstuck.
We have done so well with players missing, but, the backbone of the team 1, 6, 7, 9 & 13 have all pretty much stayed in tact, or we've had the majority of that stability while the guys have been out. When we lost Sam for a couple of games we looked wobbly. I'd probably rest Sam, or, spell him with Powell or Hampshire. Lockers should get a week off, and I think Mickey should play.

| If Josh is given a weeks rest I would really like to see an out and out winger outside Daz, at least he will know where to be once Daz has the ball. Smith and Green are beginning to combine well and finding gaps more often. the drop off pass to a runner back on the inside is working well together with the loop runaround from sam. Opposition don't know whether to slide to close down Sam or hold to stop the runners (dummy or not)

| Mcilorum only played 30 minutes yesterday, hell be fine. Hampshire at fullback is intriguing and is probably the most likely solution to sam when hes injured.

| What's the news on Lauaki? He's not being missed, but he seems to have completely disappeared off the radar

Last I heard he fell out with Wane, not sure how true that is though.

Heard exactly the same around 3-4 weeks ago. Was told it was very unlikely he will play for the club again. If true surely we should look to offloading him as soon as possible.

| if thats the case, then come the end of the season our overseas position could be :
eric - let go
gelling - let go (I assume his contract is up for renewal)
green - keep
paddy - irish (keep)
H - uk? (keep)
potentially we will only have 1 overseas player registered, and cash in the bank from the loss of Hock, who was budgeted to be on this years bill/
certainly room for manoevre if the right players come available
