Not sure if anyone's noted this yet or if we're clear whats going on but just realised the wendyballers are at home to Norwich on the 30th March (Sat after Good Friday).



Firstly, why has this happened? Surely when the fixtures were done for the @r5eholes they should have requested an away game that weekend, knowing we are due to be at home good friday



Secondly, will Whelan not be a tool and allow us to play on the GF or are we going to be made to move?



Surely this is one Leneghan must have already covered and is one he must put his foot down on?



This is GF against saints and tradition against a 3rd rate no mark soccer game!

Good Friday is 29th March 2012



Wendyball game is on Sat 30th.

Odds are, by then their game will be moved to the sunday. They've got 5 months to sort it.

I expect that Wigan will play on Thursday as we did in 2009, unless we're the 12.30 kick off on the Friday but I can't see Humberside Police being too happy that the Hull derby will kick off hours after the pubs have opened.



BTW - whilst Wigan Athletic v Norwich City doesn't get the juices flowing for most, I'll wager that it's watched by more people around the World than Wigan v St Helens.

I'd prefer the Thursday anyway as night games are better.



The 2009 game was a good way to start a long weekend as well.

There are far more football fans in Wigan than there are rugby fans, they just don't support Wigan Athletic.

So, he says that wigan is a rugby town, and you say that more people in Wigan watch football than rugby, but don't support T'latics... i go back to my original statement about him, and offer these two items as evidence...

i think your wrong as these "football fans" mainly have it as their secondary sport after rugby.
