Murray only played at beginning of 1997, was dropped after about 8-10 games and was never seen again... I stand by my choice of him being the contender for the number 1. shirt......

Even if that was true, it means nothing.



Mathers has won every Club honour in the British game, but that doesn't make him better than Radlinski, for instance.

I accept this point but it's just wrong to mention Mathers in the same sentence as Radlinski! Doc Murray is a good choice. Paul Atchison wasn't the most inspiring but even he was bette than Doc!

This is a cr*p post and thread. Any one who's been deemed good enough to play even one game for Wigan shouldn't be slagged off on a Wigan forum. There are plenty of other forums who do that job week in week out. Doc Murray may not have been the right fit for Wigan but I'd venture to guess that he was a far better player than most people who slag him off.
