Did when I went to Nottingham. Then it stopped at Sheffield.
If there is a group of you then ask at Wigan about buying a 4way ticket. It costs about £39 for 4 return tickets (thats to Nottingham so maybe less to Sheff) |

Return - depart 18:10 Sheffield, arrive 19:02 Manchester Piccadilly.
£3.30 each way as Advance Singles with a railcard - will get an early train between Wigan and Manchester on Saturday morning, have a quick mooch at what's on offer as part of 'Record Store Day' in Piccadilly Records, pick up a couple of cold cans from Sainsbury's in Piccadilly station for the journey over the hills, and just jump on the first train back to Wigan on return in the evening. Should be fun.

Yeah, that got a bit messed up - I booked the tickets when the kick off was announced as 3pm. The announcement that it was a 4pm start must've been made literally whilst I was going through the booking process. Hoping it'll still work out alright if the game finishes on time, though I'm prepared for a bit of a jog back to the station if needs be! |

Yeah, i'm glad I booked mine for the 19:42 train back the Manchester. Got time for a few drinks in Sheffield before I have to head off home. |
