| Well he hasn't gone yet (officially) so there may be chance he gets a warning but stays.

i doubt, no matter what the reason for gleesons' current omission from the squad, that he would come back and play for us if what MM etc say about the team ethic and code, for example the W.A.R.R.I.O.R. thing etc.
but if he did i'd be pleasantly surprised as he can obviously still offer the first team a lot, but if he has been up to no good what message does that send to the team and fans alike?
at the end of the day i'd have him back in the team no problem but whilst we don't know either way this is - actually - pointless!

| There will be plenty speculation until the club makes a statement and that could be sometime away given how slow potential legal / discliplinary processes can take.

There are some quite obvious reasons why it has.

People get sacked all the time, both in and out of sport, in much shorter periods of time than this has gone on for. There are numerous examples in Rugby League and Football where this has happened more or less instantly. Jordan Tansey at Hull a few weeks ago is a fairly recent example.

Tansey clearly had previous so could have been at a different stage of any process. People can get sacked quicker and sometimes it takes longer. Its clearly dependant on the situation, which we arent aware of, so whats the point in stamping feet and demanding to know what is going on?

| Yes he's got talent but personally I think you'll be better off without him. You've got a good coach and enough experienced players to develop somebody else into the roll that will keep you in a good position in the league.

Agreed in the longer term but the problem at the moment is we have 1 experienced centre (Carmont) then it is either young players just starting their careers at SL level (Marsh and Charnley) or playing someone out of position (J Tomkins) - I am assuming Goulding will stay on the wing seeing as he hasn't been picked in the centre as yet. This leaves us short in experience or even worse short in players should Carmont be injured.
Still young players have to gain experience by playing so as I said in the longer term in will be a benefit I am sure for those younger players but there will be games where the lack of an experienced centre could hurt us, escpecially in big games ( I think the injury/loss of Glesson hurt us in the WCC).

I don't think there's many who wouldn't want Gleeson to stay from a playing perspective, still a very good centre.
From a wider perspective though you can't have someone lowering the high standards that have been set off field and potentially putting at risk the professional culture of which Maguire and Wane have worked so hard to foster.
