My preference for a re-structured C Cup would to bring the SL clubs in at the last 16 stage.

At that point with 14 SL clubs and 2 Championship clubs it would be held at the Magic Weekend with the "Magic" transferred from Super League to the C Cup.

That's eight games over the two days. Any drawn game, as now, golden point.

The draw for the last 8 would be made live immediately following the end of the last game.

From there I'd try to resolve the poor attendance problem by having the next two Cup rounds on the first weekend of each month.

We have to play "pay again" games when us fans have money in our bank accounts, pockets and the ladies in their purses.

A majority of people are paid towards or in the final week of the month, so therefore that's why I'd have the C Cup game on the first weekend of the month.

So the last 16 would be Magic on the first weekend in June.

Last eight, first weekend in July,

Semis first weekend in August

The Final as now on August Bank Holiday weekend.

With that structure everyone in the game, Clubs, Players, Supporters would know when the C Cup was to be played whether it be next year, the year after or any year.

As mentioned my preference would be the SL clubs joining at the last 16 stage as it takes two games out of the season for the players.

However, it could just as easily be the last 16 on the present format and I'm sure many would prefer that.

I do feel that the above would put a structure to the C Cup where at times with a 9 week gap then another 5 week gap it is doing the Challenge Cup do go at all.

That's what I meant by re-structuring the C Cup and those are just my thoughts on it.

Aren't the SL clubs not getting a bit peed off with playing the same old opposition year in year out due to the lack of any new faces to play against ? .



And as for thrashings ? haven't there been some pretty hefty tonkings handed out in the SL already this year ? .
