Not if it was to go and make a sport I hate better by bringing in attacking ideas and structures from the sport I love, putting more of a threat out there to the sport I love.



If Union starts to become a fast exciting attacking game by continuing to poach Rugby League's coaches, with the money it has, League will fall into very shaky ground. We would struggle to survive imo.

You are a fan... Deacon has to make a living. It's a very difficult position for the individual... For us fans it's purely a moral judgement.

Wigan can be partly blamed for the revival of RU when they played Bath and the Twickenham sevens where they came back from what was an impending defeat.They showed RU how fit and skilfull and opened their eyes and realised all was not right in the RU game RU at the time had just gone full pro and who was the first person to appoint Phil Larder the Great Britain coach since then we have had a steady stream of RL coaches /players Hanley,Edwards,Farrell just to name a few would Edwards have stayed in RL if at the time as the Clubs were obsessed in NRL coaches .

I'm sure if you are your new employer would love to see it splashed all over the media that you are only going for the money.

No amount of coaching could make that happen, without a lot of fundamental rule changes.

I told my former employer as to why I was leaving and what I was leaving for. Deacon isn't exactly going into a high profile role he's basically doing the same job as he was doing at Wigan only he will now be doing it and getting........ more money

And will also be doing it in a far bigger sport
