It's a little bit childish though don't you think?
It reminds me of when someone drops a plate in a restaurant and the diners all go 'Yaaaaay'

| nope i dont think its childish at all.
it a way of voicing an opinion.
its exactly the same as we do on here, they have just chosen to voice their opinion that way.
i dont agree with it but how else will many of the fans get the frustration out of a dire performace, how will the players know that the fans are dissapointed, and how will the coach know that it is unacceptable?
i know most of that will come from being a professional sportsman but the fans have a right to say what they want and clap what they want being childish or not,

It is [uVERY[/u childish.
I think if the players and the coach had looked at the scoreboard after the game they would realise the fans might be a bit disappointed.
They are fully grown men. They realise people will be a bit fed up they lost. Clapping and cheering the opposition to voice your displeasure is beyond pathetic. It's the sort of thing a 10 year old does.
In my opinion of course.
I'm assuming you are a regular attendee at Wigan. you probably know when the coach comes and goes from the ground. You probably know where they train in the week. Why don't you (and everyone else who thinks clapping and cheering the opposition) grow a pair and go and front up to Maguire and some of the players look them straight in the eyes and tell them how crappy they were instead of acting like a 10 year old at the game?

if you want to start acting up go find somewhere else to do it.

| BBC Radio Manchester's Sunday RL show just coming to an end - a great show as ever. But......
Jack Dearden in his wisdom has decided to feed the idiots once again by opening the debate about Wigan fans booing their own side, and whether they would prefer to go back to the old days where we were beating everyone in sight.
A number of calls, texts and emails subsequently come in explaining that:
- The booing was a minority/muted
- Many were applauding the Dragons
- Basically, everything you can read on the previous 8 and a half pages.
Cue a barrage of Saints/Wire/whoever supporters trotting out the same old cliches about Wigan fans thinking they have a divine right to success. Why let the truth get in the way of that? Will we ever be able to shake it off?

A paper round doesnt count.
Let me know when you turn 15 and perhaps we can continue this conversation.

| I clapped the Dureau kick because it was worthy.
I would have clapped if Hodgson had done the same because I appreciate how impressive it was.
I would, however, have been considerably more vocal had one of our players done the same.

| Wigan lost , where out played , the fans paid there hard earned dosh to be entertained by Wigan, they were'nt, so they/we voiced there/our opinion in a way we felt appropriate.
All this disloyal fans is just sheer garbage, Catalan played some decent stuff and deserved there plaudits as far as I'm concerned. If wigan would have stuffed Catalan then I'm pretty sure you would have heard chants of who are you etc from the same fans who applauded catalans complete turnaround from last seasons one sided game.
I'm more concerned about the performances of a misfiring team rather than a few ironic albeit deserved appalause

what bearing does watching players train have on this topic ?
glad to hear you have such a high-tech job - sounds well above my uneducated head !
is it prerequisite for a software engineer to be able to spell correctly ? if so,maybe you should consider a paper round ?
