I've been one of his biggest critics, mainly regarding his decision making, but this season he has been top class.

It has always been his favoured position from youth level onwards, just found opportunities at centre difficult to come by with previous coaches who favoured size and / or experience.

As for the England squad, Goulding is in top form and there are none better both in attack and defence.

Welham is a turnstyle, players go past him like he's not there. One of the worst players with missed tackles in the league.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised McNamara has picked Welham over Goulding.

Just watched Charnleys try for 26-0 and Goulding was bloody excellent. His movement was small but sublime. Wonderful centre play

Made Welham look stupid.

That right hand side was a big worry for me this season particularly defensively. But how those two lads have proved me wrong. Goes to show that many of Charnleys so called errors last season were more than likely due to Joel getting it wrong in the centre while learning a new position. Solid as a rock this season and that is down to Goulding not leaving his winger exposed.



In attack we were always more clinical down the left with George and Pat but now we can attack just as weel if not better down the right. This is the reason we have the best points for total. We are less predictable and much more dangerous than last season.

He's come on leaps and bound. I always thought he was a useful utility player at Wigan, who would start at some other clubs.



However at the moment he's one of the best centres in the comp. Credit to the lad.

Very good last night and is looking like he is enjoying his rugby this season, infact everyone is, bring on next week.

Atkins? Watkins? Yeaman? Carmont?
