What's up with King?

Neck injury. He seems to be okay and is sat down watching the game from the dugout.

| Warringtons key strength is the first 20 minutes of a game where they come out and their intensity and aggression is far greater than the opposition, who consequently get battered.
All the wigan need to do is match their intensity through our defence. I actually believe that there is some serious fragility to warringtons defence that tends to show after some consistent pressure, particularly on their goal line.
I think Wigan should win, my only previous concern was our pack vs wires bit now its equal if not better than theirs so they're unlikely to steamroll us as they couldve done earlier this year. Both teams will be up for it and I just think wire will break under the pressure before wigan will.

| The wire fans that I speak to are of the same opinion as me. It could go either way. The softener for the loser is that the minor premiership would tip in their favour.

| Have been confident since the draw that with a fit side we would beat them.

| I actually can't call this. I agree with whoever wins the game on Saturday will win the cup and whoever loses will win the League Shield.
I really hope the Weather stays away so I can watch 2 brilliant teams give everything.
But a Wire win for me

| Player for player we match and even beat wire, but it just seems every time we seem to put in a crap performance against them. I dont know what it is. If we lost but played brilliantly I wouldnt mind, its when we dont turn up and dont even give them a game that bugs me. Please, lets turn up.

| Wow, a decent thread with no Wigan v Wire bitching/dick measuring!! May the best side win and it should be a cracker, wouldnt like to predict a winner could go either way. But IMO Wire have to be slight favourites with home advantage. We have only won there once!

| One set of fans will have the bragging rights for a month or so, but i think this season could be a case of he who laughs last.

| I'm sorry, but I don't buy into all this "well, if we lose the cup game, it makes us favourites for the hub cap" nonsense.
So the winners will have to play 1 more game (possibly 2, if they win the semi), so what, they are all full time athletes, who can cope. Stains seemed to manage, a few years ago, when they did the treble (hub-cap included).
Surely, winning is a nice habit to have, and I know what I'd rather be doing, come half six on Saturday night. Enjoying a celebratory after match drink, and looking forward to further CC success (and a good tilt at the GF), rather than drowning my sorrows, and convincing myself that we are now slight favs to win the hub-cap.
I'm sorry, but all this losing one makes us favourites for the other, is just cod psychology.
Back on thread, I'm (quietly) confident we (Wire) will win. I just feel we have that winning mentality now.
If we go in with 4 fit props, we should have the edge to enable MonaghanM and Briers to make their marks on the game, and let our 3/4 line run free.
Looking forward to it. Come on Wire.
