Not to say he doesn't get undue criticism, but he couldn't catch a cold on the wing at the start of last season, a bad run of form that contributed to him being (fairly IMO) dropped. His defence at centre is often ropey too. Still I hope his performance in the friendly is a sign of things to come. Can't believe he's only 23!

To be fair he only dropped about 3 kicks, one against Hull FC early on and two against Catalan in a game where he went off through injury at half time. Other than that he had been fairly solid under the high ball. He might have been dropped after than game but if I remember correctly he was injured so wouldn't have played anyway. For someone who definitely wasn't a winger he adapted very well.



He's always been a centre by preference, and he's shown some signs that he's a got enough talent to make it, he's just never really put it all together. That's arguably something that could come with consistency which he hasn't had.



Kris Welham has come along way at Hull KR and while his defence still isn't top notch his defence when he first reached the first team was absolutely dreadful. With patience and consistency he's improved an awful lot though.



It's not a certainty that Goulding is going to be good enough, but in the circumstances he definitely deserves his chance and deserves a bit of patience.

If he'd just been bunking it I think he'd be looking at far more then getting his hair dyed a daft colour which just seems a bit of a laugh.



He's obviously had the odd late or 2 but I can't see it being much more then that seeing as Wane was prepared to pick him at the weekend. If he was purposely taking the pi*s already i'd expect he'd be given a real dressing down and warned where he'll end up if it continues.

The day he didnt turn in was after the Hull KR game. He probable did get a real dressing down.I dont know if he is playing or not Thursday night .

The lad will kick himself if he ever grows up and realises what a chance he blew if he messes up bigtime over here.



He's admitted himself already he didn't know actually how big the club is and he surely doesn't want to waste this chance.

You also implied that he was turning up late for training, yet he played on Sunday, hence why people are questioning whether that is actually true.

Maybe he wasn't at training because he picked up a knock and was told to rest.
