Best advice is to probably stay off King St if your really worried that you may get in to some trouble, but then again i have heard more than 1 southerner around king st before and nothing ever seemed to happen.

I'd go behind the posts in the South Stand. It's the Wigan end but you'd get nothing but friendly banter.

Believe it or not I actually work with an Ashton lad (in London) being from Golborne myself I am proficient in Wiganese, we once had a conversation in which we tried to speak as broad and as quick as we could, some of the people genuinely thought we were speaking a foreign language. We can actually slag people off in the same room who have no idea they are the victim of our barbed tongues.



Now King St is a decent night out but I would definitely avoid Ash Vegas unless you're a trained cage fighter, in which case it will be ideal for training.

Regarding liquid refereshment, it kind of depends on what you're looking for. If it's good ale and banter, then the Anvil is a must.

You could also try the Tudor, on the other side of the bus station, a bit of a student type establishment, but make sure that your innoculations are fully up to date first...
