Sweeping changes most certainly are needed. You are talking as if this season is a one off bit of bad luck and are ignoring the fact that performance are getting worse year on year. Our total lack of ideas on attack is not a new problem. It's been a source of frustration for at least two seasons now.



The goal kicking issue has never been properly addressed but what is worse than all this are the totally clueless tactics. This season despite the injuries we have been in winning positions several times and blew it.



As an example and I forget which soecifc game it was but I think it was Hull, but Mick Mac and FPN were helping Wigan dominate the game yet bang on 20 minutes Wane hauls both off. Then Hull start to dominate and batter us so what does Wane do? Leave them off until the 60th minute by which time the game is lost. We have blown games like v Wire when we drew due to similar tactical ineptitude.



We nearly blew it v Salford in the CC semi. MM goes off bang on 20 minutes and from cruising we let them right back in it.



The idea this will change next season due to a bit of luck totally ignores the fact it virtually doesn't matter who is on the pitch, the tactics are all over the place and change is needed.

You are correct Hatty I feel just the same I have loads of tapes and DVDs of Wigan's games(winning ones !)and over the last 2 years you can count on one hand the games Ive recorded as the Rugbys so boring I just didn't like watching them again, it needs a big shake up whatever form that takes,

But yes, I agree. As a new arrival and ST holder here, yes of course I will get one next year, but it is with much less enthusiasm now, and the chorus of complaint in the pubs is quite depressing.

We were god awful against Warrington in both the CCQF and the league, it was by sheer luck we didn't lose, Ratchford could & should of nailed the halfway conversion and the Dec Patton miss was lucky for us. Don't get me wrong, maybe my post comes across doom & gloom, I am happy our CC campaign is still alive, I was just pointing out that you seem to think this year is "good" and that the CC is already in the bag. It isn't and given the current form of the team, it most certainly won't.



I never expect is to win every game, please find one of my posts that say that. Leeds were far superior than us in the second half, after Wane had 15 mins to regroup and potentially change the game. They closed out the game excellently and we didn't have any answers. If we put on a display like last night against Hull we will be comprehensively beaten by half time. Simple.



I am too am far from happy, I am also a season ticket holder. I buy the training gear every year and kit both my son and daughter out in full kits. I support the club. I appreciate you have your opinion but if you genuinely believe your happy with this year then we disagree.

Last season, particularly at the start, we snatched victories from the jaw of defeat. This season, the desire to keep going until the 80th minute and snatch a win isn't there, and we have faded away quite often in the 2nd half of games.



If its down to the players thinking they can just turn up and win, then its down to the coach to remove that idea.

If its down to the coach telling the players that they can just turn up and win, then its down to the Chf Exec to remove that idea.

If it is fatigue, then its down to the training methods.

If its down to other sides being fitter, then its down to our training methods.

If its down to our players not being as good as the ones they replaced, then its down to the recruitment team for not acquiring better players.

If its down to other clubs having better players, then its down to the recruitment team for not signing better quality.



Someone needs to take a good look at all these areas and sort it out for next season. If that results in on and off-field cliques being broken up and/or shown the door, then so be it.
