You don't need to admit it, it was plain to see to all neutrals.



Sometimes there is credit where credit it is due, Rover looked like they were flattered with a 1 goal different scoreline, seeing the stats, the reports and the feedback from both sets of fans it could and should have been a much more convincing scoreline for the Wigan team.

Just to be clear I am not pointing the finger at anyone here. I was just a little shocked to see the state of the pitch, that's all.



As others have said, the location of the stadium doesn't lend itself to great drainage.



There WAS a reason that the area was wasteland before and that was that no-one wanted to build there!

How much rain has there been in Wigan compared to say Bolton, Blackburn, Manchester? Now look at their pitches compared to the one at the DW stadium. Either they are letting it go crap on purpose or they dont know how to look after it.

Back on the important topic of the state of the pitch...Our first game being one of the biggest games of the season against the dragons. It doesn't look well for an open free flowing game.

Or all the other grounds aren't built on marsh land and didn't have a game on yesterday?



I'm sure if me and 22 of my mates had run around and dove/slid about on my lawn yesterday for 90 minutes in the pi$$ing down rain that my lawn would look something similar to the DW pitch. It had a sheet of water on top of it FFS.



The fact that the walkway at the back of the SS where the drainage is was flooded as well shows the problems we have.

Bolton's, Blackburn's and both Manchester team's pitches aren't built in MARSH green.

We'll the fact it's played in Feb when it will more than likely be pi$$ing it down would see to that anyway.

Just out of curiosity when the JJB Stadium was due for construction what other site's were considered for it's location?

The only ones I know of were the tips which was laughed at and the site at the side of the Bryn junction which can't be built on apparently.

Was Elland Road a mess for the past few WCC games? I honestly cant remember.
