Every time a star player re-signs for a club, you hear this same crap - other players are not happy about it. And how often the story comes from fans of other clubs.



All first-teamers are pretty well-paid at Wigan these days. So if these underachieving malcontents can find someone who'll do them a better deal, then, as others have said, fair enough. Let 'em go and kick-start their careers elsewhere. I hear there are lots of opportunities in the bottom half of the table.

He was still up to his usual 'tricks'. Trying to trap the players arms in the tackle, moaning at the ref and also sledging other players when it looked like it was about to kick off.



Difference is this time he was on a team you had to support.

When he was stood at dummy half once, i caught him (seemingly) try and trip one of the tacklers as they were getting back into position at marker.



To be fair, I ed my sides. When he's got an England shirt on, he's playing for my team.

This is what some posters on here don't seem to get. He's behaving no differently for England than he does for Wigan

BUT Wigan fans shouldn't get their high horse about it - he really annoys me when he plays for Wigan, but I accept and even like it a little when he's doing it for England. That's only natural in supporting sport.



Let's face it though, the antics of certain Kiwi players have put anything Tomkins does into perspective.

The only reason Im getting wound up is certain posters claiming that Tomkins is now a reformed player, good as gold, why could he have been like this all the time etc etc.



The true fact of the matter is that everything he did (bar the V) was blown so far out of proportion.

If ST gave the Aussie supporters section a cheeky V sign on Saturday after scoring the winning try rather than doing it in the Challenge Cup Final most if not all would be classing him a hero, elevating him into legendary status alongside with the likes of Paul 'F**k Off Norway' Gasgoine.

Elevating or lowering him to that standard? Tomkins is better than that.
