He already has so the pressure must be off now?

| Quote Cruncher="Cruncher"And then, in Leeds's own inimitable way, it'll probably end up being our fault.
Just like Danny's self-inflicted injury did back in 2010.'"
It seems like your right
Quote Cruncher="ThePrinter"I think Wigan have done enough crying about it that i think McGuire will get a ban. If he does then, whilst a big loss on the pitch, could hopefully add that extra fire for the rest of the lads after they've too probably heard the screams coming over the pennines trying to sway the decision of the panel. Whilst Wane and his team will be feeling quite happy and content with themselves about the outcome.'"

It's pretty sad stuff really. I think they reached the stage in 2010 - mainly under the influence of McClennan and Peacock - where they actually believed that Wigan were somehow culpable for the injury that put McGuire out for the rest of the season. (That would be the one he inflicted on himself while fouling George Carmont off the ball).
How they can seriously believe that Shaun Wane has influence at RFL - after what happened to McIlorum - is mind-boggling, especially as a) McGuire was put on report three days before Wane opened his mouth, and b) the judiciary have not even handed down a verdict yet ( ). But apparently they do.

| So was McDermott not trying to influence the decision himself when he said he hopes common sense prevails and there is no ban?
Loved how everyone burst out laughing when he said that Mcguire thought the lad was taller and thats why he hit him high...
I think in this case it may have been better if SW just kept quiet and didn't give all the idiots on here the ammunition they need. But atleast he's got the balls to say something and wears his heart on his sleeve.

| Please use the link now the verdict has been given. Don't need three separate threads all discussing the same thing.
