| Quote tank123="tank123"Amazing last week was we need to win 7 games now its only 6.
I totally agree we are done for and its time for some to be realistic now. A month or more gone since we have had most back and performances are not as good as top 6. Reality is we are going to finish 7th and that is where we deserve to be.'"
Agreed. Add to a potentially poor showing in CC Final, I think as painful as it will be, it's hopefully what is needed for some changes to be made.

Chelsea sacked the special one by Christmas. For the 2nd time.
Are you saying that Wane is even more special than the special one?

| Personally, I think this game between us both is like a knock out game on Friday.
The winner stays in the hunt with a chance of top 4, the losers season is completely over in regards to making the 4.
We are potentially without Leroy Cudjoe who was seen on crutches this weekend at the food & drink festival which will mean we will be suspect out wide.
However, we will be fresh in the back row with Ollie Roberts, Dale Ferguson & Michael Lawrence all available who missed the Wakefield game.
Our defence has been good of late and have conceded just 30 points in the last 4 games so its makes for an interesting game.

Sorry pal, we both have two chances of making the playoffs, slim and none. And slim just left town.

| It is hard to see beyond a top four of Cas, Leeds, Saints and Hull - we are nowhere near their levels at this part of the season, we might win a one-off game but not a run of games against them.
I would write off the top four and make sure we have the fittest/best squad available for Wembley - it is the only chance of silverware.

We are 4 points off Saints, who still need to play us, Leeds and Hull in three of their remaining games. We are also 6 points off Hull, who have got to play us, Saints, leeds and Cas in four of their remaining games. If we win all 6 remaining games, then we will be in the semis IMO. This is last chance saloon though, Saints beating Cas was a major blow.
I think we will beat Huddersfield and Salford in the next two games, but I can't see us going away to Saints the week after Wembley and winning. After that we have three games to potentially try new things - S.Tomkins in the halves and using the props as props being my preference.

I personally think we will beat you Friday. Im never usually that confident playing Wigan but I am this week. We are a much better with Jordan Turner on the left centre and we have a few fresh players coming back this week in the 2nd row.
Games between us over the last couple of seasons are always close so i'm predicting another close game but feel we will come out on top.

It depends which Wigan side turns up really. We looked pretty good against Catalans, Leeds (h) and Salford, but poor against Wire and Leeds (a). We have the better squad on paper, but your form looks better. Just hoping things start to click ahead of the CC final.

We looked pretty good??? We looked very average, and won against Catalan and Salford (two poor sides) and cruised against a very very weakened Leeds. We were beaten by a poor Warrington and made to look very average against an excellent Leeds.
Huddersfield have found form...I too believe they will turn us over on Friday. It will be close, but the fact they have form and we do not will play out.
I appreciate your optimism, however, we will not even come close to the top-4. I genuinely think 8th is where we will remain. However, as with last year, I pray I am made to eat my words!

| I'm a bit like those who are terrified of snakes where Wigan are concerned: some learnt or inherited view that it's best to be wary of something that can be dangerous. Truth is, my optimism for Leeds' GF chances will increase once your chances of a play off berth are a mathematical impossibility, should that happen. But my view remains that it ain't over for you just yet.

I thought we deserved to win by more against Salford. We had a try incorrectly disallowed (Davies) and two harsh sin bins, yet still beat the 4th place team by three scores. Catalans is a tough place to go, and they nearly beat Cas in their following home game, so more than happy to win comfortably there.
I don't think we will make the 4, but there is some massive overreaction going on. The sky isn't falling in just because a strong Leeds team beat us at Headingley. It's amazing that we are still in with a chance given the injuries we have had.
