Let's be fair everyone. That original post was dredged up from 2009, before IL won us two major trophies.



By the sounds of it, IL has done quite a lot over the last few days to modify the SC so that we now have a better chance of holding onto our best players. I'm sure BK will appreciate that, even if he remains skeptical in other areas.

Great stuff.

The club is run far better now than it has ever been, this is down to IL.

We have won three trophies in the past two seasons under Mcguire whom Ian Lenagan appointed.

Clubs accounts from the 2005-6 are a train wreck! Now they are as they should be and Wigan RLFC is making a profit. Not too many sporting clubs do that.

That is down to IL

IL is responsible for the PEMBEC project for which the benifits will be long term.

Warriors community foundation is a project started under IL's ownership.

The club is at the forefront of change and innovation as is going forward at a great rate.

The prospects of the club have rarely been better both on and off the field, IL has brought this about.

It's a bit harsh on BK. No one gives the guy credit for speaking up on the SC for longer and more often and with more conviction than anyone (even me!

). In contrast to hordes of people who clogged up this board (including many Wigan fans) with nonsense, he was massively right on that huge issue and history has proven all of his predictions correct in terms of the damage to the game, RU raids etc etc.



Everyone should cut him a bit of slack on this. The noughties weren't the best time to be a Wigan fan and things often looked very grim. Maybe what seemed like the darkest hour was actually just before the dawn.

The club has been run magnificently since IL took over and I thank him for that. 10/10

And I don't care if it was IL that brokered the deal. Yawnion clubs should be treated as the devil reincarnate.

I would like to add this is NOT a dig at BrettKenny, it could have been anyone that posted it, it just made me laugh.

He certainly wasn't the only one who seemed unsure about IL when he first took over. One has completely vacated the site, as he made such stupid and unfounded comments that there was simply no way back for him. Others have gradually, and rightly, changed their tune.

Someone did this on the Wire board dragging a thread up from early 2009 and there were a lot of embarrassed posters on there reading what they had said about shipping Briers off to Barrow, putting Michael Monaghan and King on the next plane home as they were only here for the pensions.
