Exactly. So many people suffer from anxiety and depression. Its easier for people to admit they are Gay or Lesbian today than to say they have depression. Its as its a dirty word when all most need is help and for people like the 1 cell organism you replied to to be educated to understand how difficult it is for the person who has depression and their families.

This has to be an alcohol induced post, that's the only reason someone would post such drivel, unless they have their own serious issues.

Just to get this back on topic...I'm glad this didn't end in tragedy, as it seems it could very well have done so. There were rumours on here around the time that Sean had been sent to 'Rehab' obviously, it seems, there was something far more serious.



Depression is a real issue, a real illness that not everyone recovers from. Our very own Bilko has spoke candidly on Twitter about his own struggles with it. More people need to know it's okay to talk about it, and to not suffer in silence.



I have never liked Sean [But then, i have never met the lad but he is a Wiganer, a member of the RL family and probably the most important - a father and husband. I hope he defeats his demons and becomes a better person for it.

I hope so. Hopefully he will apologise and we can all move on.

I've just deleted some posts that added nothing apart from personal insults. If you can't make a point without insulting someone expect a ban.

Do you want to come back on and have another alternative response, he's gone through a lot of problems of which some of them are self inflicted, most of them he dealt with.

In this scenario its an illness effecting people in different ways, most people have a neutral sympothetic response.

Saying that he's never felt better and that he's glad he's "out the other side" so soon after this is a bit of a worry. Hope he has the right people around him and treatment for the long term.

I'n my long career I've attended too many who have gone and taken the final decision thet Sean Long talks about, it's just absolutely devastating, for all. Depression is in my opinion a bi-product of modern living and affects all, no matter how "tough" or jocular they may appear to the public.



Lets face it, to Wigan fans, Sean when playing was a pantomine villain , and he tormented us........alot. But that's where it ends. So please Wigan Pie Man, be a mensch
