Cant stand the Latics personally
but you would have to be an extremely prejudiced person to think that it is their fault for the state of that.
I know that it riles when wendyballer's blame us for the poor condition of the playing surface, bt that does not mean we have to drag our selfs to there level.

You have me sussed don't you  would it make you feel better if I was?
Anyway, back to topic. I spoke to the groundsman whilst the pitch was relaid last time (was actually back in wigan then), he said it was to do with the non-removal of septic tanks and the ground that is the problem. Without digging the whole ground up and going down to remove the tanks, it is never going to get better.
Whelan will have sold up within 5 years, it will be interesting to see who takes on the ownership of the ground, as he sure doesn't look like he's going to give it to Latics (or Warriors) like was once rumoured.
The weather looks like it is going to be OK for WCC, so I'm sure the pitch will be fine. |
