Let's be honest, we should murder them at League but i hope its a hell of a close game in Union.'"
The problem is that it is a cross-code game with cross-code rules. The Bath experiment proved nothing, only that Wigan were the better league side and Bath were the better Union side.
The rules will be mixed between League and Union, but they slightly favour Union sides due to line-outs etc.
The fairest way IMO would be to play one half of league and one half of union, but use the same points scoring system for both halfs, maybe 5 for a try, 2 for a goal and 1 for a drop goal. That way it isn't easier for the Union side to rack up more points due to their stupid points system. The winner of the toss before the game could decide which half is played in which code. Play the whole game with 14 players on each team (middle ground).
If we play well in the league half we would murder any union team. Play like league players in the Union half and we could still rack up some points. Just look what we did to Bath at twickers in 96.
Whether people like it or not, the media will use this game to judge which code is better. If Sarries won then the media would hail Union as the better code, we can't let that happen IMO.
