Exactly, we werent exactly going to go rest of the season unbeaten. I think people are just so shocked it was Quins who did us but all credit to them they deserved it.

Like I said in my report, no one would have predicting Salford trumping Leeds at Headingley last year in April. It happens. I'd be more disappointed if we had never been in a position to win this match, like happened under Noble time and time again. Ok the defence is worrying but it's more down to the tough month and injuries catching up with us. I think we've done well to get this far without defeat.

Definetly. Had Mellor been fit to come in at 6 or 7 it would have been a different second half tonight. Allowing O'Loughlin to play 13 with Mellor in the halves would have solidified us so much more. You can't say it because he's never played first team, but argubably an 8th key injury against us tonight.

Ok, I've seen the time of the OP and I've been to the match tonight and given both of those factors, I'd still disagree. This season is all about seeing some kind of improvement at Wigan RLFC. So far I've seen that, even given the last three matches. The players still seem fitter and more capable than last season. Off the field the club has made huge strides a crowd of over 18k (however achieved) for Quinns at home and the long awaited introduction, en masse, of some thoroughbred Wigan youngsters have already made this season a success in comparison to recent years. I for one was not counting on seeing silverware this season but seeing the fruits of ILs ambition in the form of building blocks for a solid foundation on which to build Wigan RLs future. These building blocks are slowly being put in place and the future still looks bright without desperate attempts to bring aussies over who have been deprived their massive pay day by a cheating NRL club being found out. Wigan's days of providing big pay days for the aussie players is, thankfully, long gone.

Ermm yes and I would have made the above post before the game aswell as after it... that was the point. WE DON'T NEED TO BE MAKING PANIC SIGNINGS. We didn't before the match and we don't after the match.

I'm not talking about panic signings

but at the end of the year feka, fielden, carmont and bailey are all off contract (i think)

we will surely be signing some quality players and Melbourne would be as gooder place as any to start

Let's not be greedy, we don't want to take all the Storms players. Just Inglis, Adam Blair and Slater will do.

They will all be going to wire, after all there is no cap there.
