Blah blah f-in blah... You see posts like this from fans all the time, yet when Kevin Sinfield 'headbutts' Luke Dorn there's a 20 page thread calling for blood. Fans go on, and on and on about 'biff' and the 'good old days' of cheap shots, and handbags, but the reality is RL fans in general are a bunch of soft hypocrites

I think you will find that the 20 page thread was on the Leeds forum not here but anyhow.. back on topic, there's nothing wrong with a bit of "biff" as you put it, it used to be the way teams got momentum and the upper hand, the forwards softening up the opposition forwards. There was nothing better than the first 15 mins of a game, this is where lines were drawn and platforms laid.

I suppose if you mean would I rather watch Les Boyd and Kelvin Skerrett than Eorl Crabtree and LMS then the answer is yes.

If Ryan Bailey ever got up to the antics that Skerrett or Boyd did, you'd probably want him banned for a season.

I hate Ryan Bailey with a passion, but would I like to see another five Ryan Bailey type players in the competition....damn right I would.

He's the type of player that get the crowd going, we all love pantomime villains and our game doesn't have enough of them.

Shaun Edwards was hated by supporters from almost every club

Les Boyd was detested here at Wigan

Paul Bishop another one hated by all at Wigan

Neil Holding is another

All were great players, all were detested but all were great characters of our game. Sadly we lack these type of players in the modern game.

Alex Murphy was the most hated of the lot by us.

But by heck, he was one of the greatest ever RL players of all time.

Its makes it all the better when a proper hard man like Paul Sculthorpe smacks 7 bells out of them.

Cheers. I never suggested Bailey has or will ever be as thuggish as Boyd or Skerrett but him and McIlorum are probably the closest we've got in Super League at the minute.



I actually, like a few others have started attending less away games but I don't resort to posting rubbish like suggesting we should go back to Winter Rugby and encouraging cheap shots/assaults to liven up games.

Your doing pretty good at posting your own rubbish to be fair. You like ballerina rugby and I don't, you don't have to agree with me just as much as I don't agree with your postings, that's the joy of forums. People in glass houses and all that.
