A friend of mine has produced a traditional thick heritage cotton rugby shirt. Its all white with a proper collar thick red band around the middle with a small blue band above and below front and back. They are available in large and extra large.



ALL PROFITS FROM THE SHIRT ARE GOING TO WAKEFIELD HOSPICE. THIS IS A GENUINE NOT FOR PROFIT CHARITY SHIRT.

Well its my next door neighbour who's had the shirts produced & they're definitely ,100% a hospice charity shirt !

I have put this on, on the behalf of a lifelong fan. It has been put on in good faith i asked one of the mods if it was ok to put the image on that we were not breaking any forum rules.This is a genuine not for profit shirt...i repeat all profits are going to the wakefield hospice.I would not be associated with such a thing if it was not true.My friend had a meeting with the hospice fundraiser in November.He will contact the club on Monday and speak with Mr Elston to hopefully settle any differences that there maybe. Until these differences are resolved i will not reply to any pm's.

No shirts have yet been sold...all enquiries for the shirts have been self initiated.



I would not put my name to or say that it was for such a good cause as the hospice if it was not.It was genuinely put on in good faith and i hope the readers of this blog the club understand this.

How strange. If the club produced something similar they would sell plenty. I think I saw a comment from Andrew Glover saying they are looking into producing a cotton retro shirt, perhaps they are waiting so to not detract from the new jersey's sales.

As it doesn't look as though this shirt has the club badge on then as long as it is not marketed as a Wakefield Trinity shirt i'm not sure the club can do a great deal about it, unless they've trademarked the design, which I doubt.

Its a shame the club couldn't of worked with this and produced an official shirt with the proceeds going to the hospice. Am sure many would be sold if available in the shop especially if the old badge was present. Didn't cas and warrington do a similar thing with their help 4 heroes shirts.



As has been mentioned the club would probably not back such an idea until after Christmas and the beginning of the season as sales would be taken away from the clubs official shirt for the forthcoming season.
