The good Dr is now laying into the RFL because they won't let him fast track Salford from being cannon fodder!!

And he (Koukash) did not hold back in his criticism on Thursday, by saying: "Super League is a brilliant sport but you have to realise that it is being run by the RFL and I have lost all confidence in the RFL running Super League.



"The people running Super League have failed to grow the sport over the last five years and the time has come for them to step aside and let the clubs run the competition.



"I received verbal promises from various authorities last July that a marquee player would be introduced but the clubs, with the support of the RFL, last week managed to block the latest vote.



Brushed under the carpet



“They now want to discuss it in November and that to me means brushing it under the carpet.



"I am investing in the region of £2 million a year into this club and I want to make sure something I am investing in has a future.



"I am determined to stay in the sport. I am seriously addicted to rugby league." Blah blah blah!!

He's obviously used to getting hos own way.

Toys and pram come to mind. It's easy to be so vocal and belligerent when you have pockets full of money and to bleat about how you're "trying to do good for the game". But for me, moves like this will only serve to create a bigger gap between top and bottom clubs as the bottom clubs cannot afford the luxuries that the Dr can.

There's no fans to watch these superstars that he wants to bring in. He needs to spend money on somehow getting more people though the gate. I don't think the location of the stadium helps, free (if you have a season ticket) shuttle bus services?

Noted that Wane at Wigan was saying along the lines that they would not be going for a marquee player if it happened as they would much sooner bring the youngsters on.Cant remember where I read it but that has to be the way to go against paying a player a bucket full of money and the rest of the squad then unhappy and thinking stuff it let him take the hammer.

The Dr is never happy - I don't even bother reading his rants any more, as they all amount to the same thing; "Boo hoo, I've got loads of money, so let me do what I want, boo hoo, Nigel Wood is a donkey."



He's shot his bolt for me - concentrate on Salford and stop trying to dictate terms to the rest of us.

I think it was on teletext where i read the statement from Wane. He said some thing along the lines of "we are leagues apart from Salford on the marquee signing thinking" I thought some from Salford would have been on here by now defending the good doctor.
