I can't see why; I think they would be delighted if we sorted out our own accommodation without them having to be involved at all - but it doesn't work like that. I can't think of a team that have moved to a new facility without the support and backing of their Council.

Our local government leader should feel really proud of himself and we shouldn't even mention the property developer who has swerved their obligations for so long.

I have no idea where Cas are with their development - but it's a fair bet that theirs isn't unfolding like an episode of Game of Thrones, which appears to be where we are. And right on cue, MC has just announced in the press that "winter is coming..."

Agreed, they won't just turn round and tell us we are gone on Monday for the reason you mention. I think the worst case senario is the RFL would review the position at the end of the season, more likely is an edict that we can stay in SL for next year but play elsewhere and new stadium progress has to have been made by a set date next year or will will forgo our SL place.

I don't think the RFL care about that to be honest! What they do care about is that Cas have a much better stadium agreement in place, a developer who is committed to the site and has already started work on the site through the and some of the contracts already signed for the retail and, from what i here, more in the pipeline which will facilitate the build. Everything our developer seems very reluctant to do.
