Looking at the confirmed in and outs for next year i think the one position we really need to look at is Stand off. With Atkins rumoured to be joining Warrington for £200k, and assuming Mr Kear has that money to use, who would we like to see at Belle Vue/Stanley over the next few years?

No guarantee that Kear will get the money to spend. Attendances well down this season. When your only getting gates of 6500 v Leeds that loss of revenue has to be made up. As for stand off i'd go for Obst, unless he turns down new deal otherwise i'd go for Bridge from Wire.

Massive backward step for me. Did nothing in his last 2 seasons at Wakefield only good performance in this period against Wigan at home 2007 came after Kear threatened to axe him. Plus thought he needed to move closer to home.

Think it will be a good combo, Brough to take the lead, BJ to play on the fringes.......especially with the pack we will have next year!!!



For me, that will be better than; Brough and Rooney/Obst/Grix/Martin!!



p.s have you seen how many try assists BJ has this year???

i agree think a brough/jefferies partnership combo would be good both of them could play there own roles unlike when it was jefferies/rooney and brough/who ever at six

I'm not too sure, I quite like having Martin @ 6 because it makes us stronger in defence in the middle.

not necessarily at the end of the day bj can be a very good player on his day and if he is the choice and he is pulling on a trinity shirt again he will get my 100 percent backing him and brough could compliment each other very well and bring the best out of each other.

BJ would be yet another Aussie... though I understand he has/qualifies for citizenship, he still won't be federation trained. How many non-fed players do we have contracted for next season?
