Toronto experiment seems to be going very wrong all of a sudden. No ground in Toronto for half the season same culture that was evident when the coach was at Leigh. I feel sorry for the Canadian supporter s who have been badly let down .

This is why these loads of money teams lets get promoted quick overseas teams won’t work. The type of players they sign are mercenaries. Who are no longer true professionals of the game. Loads of fans and pundits questioned these signings. And it turns out they were correct.

Money teams will adapt to attract better players should they achieve SL status. The whole things a sham and I for one don't understand the urgency to promote clubs like Toronto.

Primarily it's a race between RU and RL to get some sort of footing in NA/Canada. It will be great for the game if it comes off. Unfortunately with little history all NA/Canadian clubs are going to be able to recruit are 'mercenaries' until they establish themselves and hopefully bring through homegrown talent. Long term the aim must be to have a proper league structure over the other side of the pond. We need more than three major nations playing the game at international level.
