Sadly I think that he suspected his business skills in running a double glazing company were easily transferable to a rugby club. It would appear not.



I also recall him saying at the time of taking over that all our money worries were gone. This led me to believe that he had very deep pockets and would be able to sustain us for a long period of time.



Sadly again not true.



However, if it was not for Glover we may not have seen the last 3 years.



In many respects I am grateful for what he has done with the club and his financial commitment with the stands etc.



However, the financial mismanagement / poor fortune (Eric France sponsorship etc) are a very sad state of affairs. In my position as a fan I will never know the truth as to why it all went wrong.



I'm grateful for Glover saving us. I'm more than miffed that we have not been managed in a financially sustainable way. (However I'm not sure if that is possible in RL.)

I know the charity bike thing he is doing is for a great cause...and good on him for that.



If my business was going pappy up, then I would want to be around to sort it regardless of what I was up to.

I thought he was stepping down so he could concentrate on Newmarket or do we think he would screw that up also.

He's doing the windows on the executive boxes.

To think, this time last year the fans were chanting his name at the Leigh Sporting Village.

How little did we know.



It was a fantastic day though, Bradford getting turned over in France, about 50 Salford fans for a "home" fixture at Leigh and Wakefield smashing them to confirm a top 8 finish.



Talk about changing fortunes.

How times change eh.

Is Daddycool buying AG's shares then?

I think that's on the cards.

Glover did some great things at the club and im not sure we would have a club without him.

Its easy to take your eye off the ball and rely on people in the so called know.

For me im glad he got involved and I also hope everything works out for him
