Slack defense and schoolboy errors (crossing unforgivable) cost the match. I think the idea was to waste time down at the Leeds and. Trinity are awful at gathering a short kick off so perhaps they were avoiding that scenario.

Ignoring the coaches decision at any point in the game takes some justifying. However, ignoring it 3 times within the space of a couple of minutes is something else entirely!!!



With the Leeds players so enraged at that point in time, it was time to opt for a controlled positive outcome. That being the 2 pts which Kear was asking for.



As tallented a Broughy is, he got it wrong this time.

Ref certianly did not cost us the game tonight. Leeds don't seem to like Ganson for some reason just heard what Bluey has had to say.



Thought our defence was shocking for that Burrow try. Diskin should have been smashed.



Also thought it was Drew that took no notice of Kears instructions for us to go for the 2?

Too many mistakes / missed chances in that game to say the result hinged on one decision. Cruel way to lose in the end, but fair play to Leeds, they stuck to the task. Very entertaining game, even if I'm gutted by the result.

I was surprised, it isn't like Brough to give up the opportunity to get the cameras on him for yet another period of time.

i think it was a fair result to be honest as there was a definate knock on from peterson in the atkins try,and i think the best thing for you to do with peterson is to send him home before we try to sign him on with the rest of your dads army that we are supposed to be after, but for tonight

As a neutral it was a fantastic game to watch. Wakey played some quality rugby and Peterson stood out for working his butt off all night long, even when he was hearing birds tweeting around his head. All that effort and yet no result. Such a damn shame. I was ho by the end of the match, shouting you guys on. You so deserved to win.



What was wrong with Ganson tonight I don't know but there should have been two yellows for Leeds, not just one. And to give Wakey offside at such a crucial point when he hadn't given Leeds the knock on just moments before was a disgrace IMO.



And we won't mention the usual forward pass try given to Leeds. There seems to be one in every match this season.



Two things stand out though: why on earth Brough ignored his coach for that two points. Stupid, stupid. And I think Wakey began to tire with 10 to go. Just when they needed to defend like their lives depended upon it, they began falling off tackles and letting Leeds offload. If Wakey can play at that intensity for the full 80 and play such cracking rugby as they did tonight, then there's no reason to believe they won't be up there in the top four come playoff time. But they have to keep it up.

I actually stood up out of my chair when the chip over, then a little cheer, a top game of rugby thou, unlucky on wakefield. JK need to tell either drew or brough or who ever overode his choice, that hes the boss thou, id have been steaming if I was Kear

Thinking back, you could be right about Drew. Not sure it was him on all 2 or 3 occasions when it wasn't too far out wide.



Perhaps it was time for Wakey's Capt to step forward and take control of the decision? It's one of the reasons why a player is given a Capts duties. Either way a guy of Broughy's experience as kicker, should have been looking to get hold of the ball and set up for the kick

Brough made the right decision running the ball was the best option at that point. That Blaymire didn't pass the ball when he should have done and then getting done for crossing/obstruction was the real killer not Brough's decision.
