What is the point of a forum if you can't express your views, unless they are positive, even when negative things are happening? When credit's due I'll give it. When criticism is due, likewise. I don't think it destabilises. I view it as keeping them on their toes, as I suspect the club does read the site. Currently they are getting the majority of stuff off the pitch right, with a few basic errors, which makes it all the more frustrating that I think we coiuld be better on the pitch; but we're not at the moment and I think we have a right to air our views on why that is. Some of it is Richard Agar's fault, some the players and some just down to the fact that it was a hastily and late in the day assembled squad. We can't change the latter but we can maybe change both of the former if required, which it may be the way things are going...oops sorry being negative again. A lot of us are maybe hard to please at Wakey but we've had a lot of let downs over the years so I think it is understandable. Whatever happens, I'll keep on supporting them and I personally have no other agenda than that, criticise though I may at times!

It's a poor thread, I don't know why it hasn't been locked yet. I agree that it's a very arrogant opening post that suggests no-ones else's opinion counts. Not good.

If we locked threads on the basis of the quality of them then there wouldn't be many around at times! Not sure why people think they have a right to put their opinion across but then bleat and moan when others do the same. It's a forum it's kind of how it works if you don't like it don't play... in my opinion of course...

In part I agree with Clan - lots of negatives without any constructive suggestions. OK a forum's a free place where everyone can air their point of view but there's got to a bit, just a bit, of balance to it. I get the impression that some posters were expecting us to be contesting for the top of the league this year from the way they talk. This is the first year of a 3 year rebuilding that includes a squad in part, not selected by the current coach and assembled in a time frame which was way too short. We've got a team (which is more than we thought we'd have at one point last year), it's not at the bottom of the league, at times it shows it has real possibilities and it's lost more games than we'd like (London come to mind). However it is a team and picking on individuals as the sole or even main cause of the problem is completely pointless. Any player can have a bad game and their failings that day may cause problems for other players which are more obvious to the spectator. Who's the most to blame? Consistent criticism of one or two players as the only cause of the problem shows a pretty shallow appreciation of the game.



Some of the postings make me laugh, some make me angry, some make me stare at the screen is disbelief and some are just totally incomprehensible, but I'll stick with it ..... for now.

Sandal Spartans will have one voice less to promote them, which is a shame, but Bren's a smart guy and is good with words, so that should be OK.



I can see why you'd get bored of fans's forums. Ever since rugby went from results meaning something to results being "nice to have", they've lost their spark for me too. But the rest of the stuff... Come on...



You were the touchline expert on the one occasion we've ever met. I enjoyed the company and the game, even though we lost. Made travelling over worthwhile. Can't see why other people's opinions should upset you so much now. It's not like the last few years have been any different.



Remember back to when you first started watching the game, before you played it, and then before you played it professionally, and then before 2 of your brothers coached it professionally - did you always have the same view of how it should be played? Did you always like the same kind of player? Did you always understand what was really going on???



Everyone has their own view, (nearly) everyone pays their own brass to see the game, and everyone has the right to rate the entertainment they paid to see. If you can offer more insight into why what they're seeing is wrong, then why not continue to do so, for the love of the game, rather than take your ball home because you don't like what you're reading?
