So in a nuttshell, have we got the dosh/dosh in place then or what?

That's the million pound question. Ultimately time will tell.

There is a fully funded model in place, but that doesn't mean that the dosh is sitting in an account somewhere earning interest. The funds will come from the council, from the developer, from various funding bodies - and some of these will be inter-dependant. The developers bit is, in theory, linked to the signing of tennancy agreements for the units proposed, but the intention is to force the hand of the devloper and, where necessary, arrange for bridge funding to help speed up the process.



All this will take place alongside the detailed planning application, but again there are a few loose ends here such as whether and how much bodies such as Wakefield College become involved - the more the merrier - and the bigger and better.



But, let's got ahead of ourselves, there is still a big hurdle to be crossed and we'll know by Tuesday if the above is waste of time - or not!

Living in Methley and being a Trin fan can we have the party down here? It would be ace, plus i know one or two in the village who love it and put a proper red white and blue show on

In all seriousness, the ones who live there will be the ones with the greatest effect and I have far more sympathy with them (assuming we get the nod) than I would with June Fender, who's raison detre (sp?) has been to protect her cosseted little world and not consider any of the significant benefits to hers and Wakefield's local folk.... jobs etc....

If we get the green light on Tuesday there's sweet FA she can do. There's no appeal, no comeback, no asking for a recount & I think she used her "ace" when she called in the big boys from the LCC- That worked didn't it June! Considering the didn't reply to the SoS's request for further comment they obviously think they played a blinder in December & don't need to say anymore! Or they could have given up.

It's 100% true mate, TBF she could have been selling Avon!!

Someone of her standing doesn't do that, surely she'll pay someone to do that for her.
